Missions

The responsibility and privilege of fulfilling the Great Commission (Matt. 28:19-20) belongs to every believer, not just a select few.

We offer local and global opportunities to pray, give and go as we fulfill Acts 1:8...

"But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth."

How can you be involved?

Pray

We observe two special Seasons of Prayer for missions.  The Season of Prayer for International Missions during the month of December, and the Season of Prayer for North American Missions during the month before Easter.  Also, there are special times of prayer when our people are on mission trips. We encourage you to pray often that the Word of God will be shared with all people groups throughout the world.

Give

Our church supports the Cooperative Program of the Southern Baptist Convention. A large portion of that money goes to missions. As well as, support of our Bethel Baptist Association. Also, we observe two special offerings during the year; The Lottie Moon Christmas Offering for International Missions and the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering for North American Missions.

Learn

The Women's Missionary Union offers missions education not only for themselves, but for all age groups in the church family.

Go

There are opportunities for everyone to be involved in missions.  It's up to you!

Acts 1:8 -- Our Jerusalem - Fort Gaines and Clay County

For Fort Gaines Baptist Church, reaching the world for Christ starts right outside our door. We don't have to go far to find the lost. We understand we must go to them and tell of the love of Christ in both word and actions.

Some of these ministry opportunities are exclusive to Fort Gaines Baptist, while others we are blessed to be able to partner with other Christians to best benefit the Kingdom of God.

Fort Gaines Baptist is involved and has supported several Ministries and Events in the Clay County and surrounding area, such as, The Outdoors Ministry of Clay Hill Hunting Preserve (Eddie Watson Ministries), Baby Comfort Station at Christmas at the Fort (Bethel Baptist Association), Jesus in the Street, Men of Clay.

Acts 1:8 - Our Judea - Georgia

We are blessed to be able to partner with the Churches of the Bethel Baptist Association and the Georgia Baptist Convention to reach Our Judea-Georgia.

Georgia Baptist Children's Home

This is one of the oldest and largest child care agencies in Georgia, serving hundreds of hurting children and broken families each year. It is designed to promote the spiritual, physical, and emotional well-being of children, youth and families. We work to support this organization by participating in the Annual TruckLoading which collects and donates supplies such as paper products, cleaning supplies, bottled water, etc.

Acts 1:8 - Our Samaria - North America

We join with other Southern Baptist Churches to spread God's love through North America.
